What are slide
blocks/those things
between the wheels?

PURPOSE

Slide blocks are used in advanced park skating for things like stalling on the coping, dropping in and sliding on rails. While they aren’t an absolute necessity to improve your park skating skills, they do help a lot by offering more stability.

BRANDS

We love our CIB Slide Blocks and have also heard great things about Brunny Hardcore Slide Blocks.

Note: Not all slide blocks are compatible with all skates and vice versa. You can find compatibility and size charts online, but if it gets too complicated you can always ask your online skate shop for help/advice before placing your order. They can usually clear things up pretty quickly and tell you which slide blocks would be best for your skates.

MOUNTING

Mounting slide blocks onto your roller skates can be a little tricky, but thanks to YouTube there are lots of tutorials on how to do this. Once you’re able to mount them, you’ll know how to take apart and assemble your trucks, which is definitely a good skill to have and one that will come in handy at some point in the future.
