STALLS & TRICKS

Once you’ve unlocked the drop in, it opens up a whole new world of possibilities! In this workshop we explore the many variations of stalls and tricks on the coping. You’re ready for this workshop if you feel comfortable dropping in and frontside stalling and are looking for the next challenge. You can expect to learn things like 180 out, backside stalls, spidey stalls, deck slides and more!

Participants need to bring their own roller skates, helmets and protective gear (wrist guards, knee & elbow pads). For this workshop you will also need slide blocks - it’s possible to drop in and stall without them, but you will be much more stable on the coping if you have these mounted. For extra protection you can also find crash pads in our protective gear recommendations!

What’s on the Program

We start every session with a warm up off skates, followed by some pumping in the ramp. Once we’re warmed up we drill the drop in and frontside stall until everyone is comfortable and ready for the next challenge. We slowly build up to each trick - e.g. when learning to backside stall, we begin with 180s out of the ramp. The goal is to get inspired so you can keep adding to your repertoire of tricks!
